Kronenburg Open-Air Gallery on the Kyll Cycle Path

Next to the former Kronenburg train station building, right next to the former tracks and today's "Kyll cycle path", 23 large concrete elements have been standing since the construction of the Kronenburg Lake in the 1970s. The river "Kyll" was diverted through these concrete elements when the dam was built. The parts, which weighed several tons, were then placed next to the train station and grew over the decades.The Kronenburg artists Monica Breuer and Jennifer Finke developed the innovative idea of an "Open Air Gallery Kronenburg" in and around the concrete elements at this location.Dahlem's mayor Jan Lembach was also enthusiastic about the project and the project and process have been running since the beginning of the year.
