The Westwall, also known as the Siegfried Line by the Western Allies, was a military defense system stretching approximately 630 km along the western border of the German Reich during World War II. It consisted of over 18,000 bunkers, tunnels, and countless trenches and tank barriers. It ran from Kleve on the Dutch border southwards to Grenzach-Wyhlen on the Swiss border. Source: Wikipedia
