Tips
You should not pass through the cathedral's large portals too quickly, but look up and admire the magnificent stonemasonry. The central portal shows the Last Judgement: angels blow trumpets. The deceased rise from their graves and their deeds are weighed. The lamb of God against the devil, who manipulatively pulls the scales with his bony hand. The lucky ones are allowed to enter heaven crowned by angels and received by Peter, while the unfortunate are faced with eternal damnation with its grimaces.
