Nice view over the lake and onto the Alps. If the cloud is laying low over the lake (often happens in winter), the view looks even more spectacular!

The view from the 10 meter high concrete tower (one of the first of its kind) towards the Alps ranges from the Eiger Mönch and Jungfrau to Mont Blanc. The three lakes Bielersee, Murtensee and Neuenburgersee spread out below the tower. 58 steps lead to its top. This is somehow reminiscent of a minaret. If you want access to the tower, you have to go through a turnstile at the entrance. The price for the visit is CHF 1. So you have to throw in exactly one one-frank. Other small change does not work!!! Incidentally, the tower once served as a lighthouse for Neuchâtel shipping. No visit to the Chaumont without a visit to the tower.
