"This a relatively small woodland with a number of entrances leading through a combination of pine and broad leaf woodland. The pathways are untreated and as such are not suitable for disabled access. However the woodland has open and narrow swaiths for easy walking. The woodland is near to Burton RSPB, Burton manor and Ness Botanical gardens and could be a combined adventure. The latter two have tea shops. There is no formal parking but Burton manor may be obliging"
