Medieval castle ruins, the emergence of which probably related to the nearby Staufer Pfalz Wimpfen and was most recently the Grand Duchy of Baden belonged. Wonderful view of the Neckar valley and the town of Neckargerach. A Grillmöglichleit is located in the outer bailey.

The ascent is a bit hidden, but from the castle you have a beautiful view of the valley - only the Neckar is "forest" hardly visible.

Well preserved ruin of a hill castle.
There is a rest area below the castle with several benches, tables and a barbecue area.

Currently, the castle ruin is unfortunately blocked because there is an increased risk of falling rocks as soon as it is open again I will report here

The ascent on the trail from the bike path on the Neckar upwards is worthwhile. Great view from the top.

Unfortunately, the access is still closed due to collapse danger, nevertheless, the two rest areas in the castle courtyard and the upper tower offer good opportunities for a ground-level bivouac, with a view or protection against wind with fire pit.

The main castle is unfortunately still closed, a visit is worthwhile due to the great view nonetheless. Also invite here in the still accessible bailey a few benches for rest.

A really great tour that you can run even in sunny weather, as the paths lead through the forest so there is also plenty of shade to offer.
However, I have a little something about the Odenwaldclub, one or two or three resting places would be great.
I am happy to do this hiking route again.

The Minneburg is a real highlight on this round.According to Wikipedia, the origins of the Minneburg are in the dark. Presumably it was built by Staufer servants and its origin is connected with the Staufer Palatinate in Bad Wimpfen and other related castles in the Neckar Valley.Anyone interested in the castles along the Neckar or in general will find a great piece of history here. Many hikers and families like to take a break in the forecourt of the castle. There is seating, as well as tables. Otherwise, the knee-high remains of the wall invite you to take a pleasant break with a wonderful view of the Neckar Valley.

Unfortunately, the main route to the castle has been closed for years. Nevertheless, the slow ascent is worthwhile because of the Schlnen view of Neckargerach and because of the rest area
