The source of the Fil and the subsequent valley inspire at any time of the year. Whether on foot or by bike, this place is always worth a visit.

Super nice spot, nice for a picnic. There is a meadow right by the stream and a gravel path for hiking / walking

Here comes the Fils. Always clean and cool wet. Drinking bottle and feet are happy.
If you want to have it quiet, you should avoid a visit on Sunday.

A clear source inconspicuous from the tree roots, that's how the Fils rises.

A small brick hut right on the Filsursprung provides protection in the rain or a thunderstorm.

Hello everybody, nice that you like it here. By the way, "Filsursprung";). The last two weeks, the entire trails were re-graveled and therefore currently not exactly the Eldorado for joggers and cyclists. Soft ground and still coarse stones in it. Designed for hiking very great. Just as a hint, not that you are on the first descent on the nose. Beautiful Pentecost.

With snow or remainder snow the way from direction Schopfloch over the "Hasental" to Filsursprung was extremely difficult / iced. Although on the Alb plateau on February 27, 2019 thawed and dry trails did not expect this.

Filsursprung is a real highlight in the region. Accessible from all sides. Caution in summer all hell breaks loose here. Very comfortable on hot summer days.
The nearby highlights (Reussenstein, Schertelshöhle, Filstalbrücke, Bahnhöfle, Schopfloch) can be pleasantly combined with one another on various circular tours.
If you continue towards the Alb plateau, you first go uphill, but it is one of the easiest climbs here and can be done with all types of bikes.
