Originally a knight's seat surrounded by moats. From 1466 the lords of Etzbach were resident for more than 200 years, later the lords of Büllesheim. There was a fire in 1795. A courtyard was rebuilt on the walls.
In 1829 Count Mirbach and Erben lived in the two-story house.
2004 was an extensive renovation and it is always under monument protection

The Dückeburg, a former moated castle, was first mentioned in 1444. In 1795 the castle was destroyed by fire in the turmoil of war when the French troops invaded. The former castle was then rebuilt as a manor on the walls. In 1816 the Dückeburg is mentioned as a former knight seat. The courtyard was renovated in 2002-2004.
