The Cranger Tor is the landmark of the Herne district of Crange and the main entrance to the Cranger Kirmes, the second largest folk festival in Germany. The gate was donated by the showman Ludwig Kallenkoot and inaugurated on August 2, 1978. After two accidents in 1997 and 2010, in which the gate was damaged by trucks, it was rebuilt in June 2011 - higher, bigger and heavier with a height of 7.50 meters, a width of 5 meters and a weight of around 4.5 tons. source: Kulturkanal.ruhrMap view

Great landmark of the Cranger Kirmes. The number is adjusted every year shortly before the start of the fair.
