The two springs of the old village well are hidden behind a lattice door in a vault about 4 m long. The cell phone camera provides a view of the interior of the brick chamber. The spring water runs out through pipes into two basins set in the ground. The listed well has been there since 1684, but the spring was captured in 1614, as the bronze plaque reveals. The rare hart's tongue fern thrives in the well chamber.
