Fürfeld's Blechköpf" - In the past, plumbers were also known colloquially as "Blechköpfe". It is no longer possible to determine whether there were particularly many plumbers in Fürfeld. In the dialect, "Blech" also means small coins; such coins may have been minted here. Perhaps the expression "Blech" also means nonsense. The saying "Don't talk tin" is well known.

The following is also known about the origin of the nickname "Blechköpf": In earlier times, the people of Fürfeld were characterized as being unyielding and somewhat obstinate. This stubborn attitude may have earned them the name Blechköpfe, especially when they tried to force their way through a wall.

There is a third version of this, which comes from Bonfeld: There were apparently a lot of red-haired residents in Fürfeld at the time, colloquially known as "Kupferdächle". However, Kupferdächle were always built by plumbers, hence the nickname "Blechköpfe".
