This bell belonged to the Old Carillon of Klaipeda, which consisted of a set of 48 old bells. In 2014, six bells, each weighing several dozen kilograms, were discovered missing. The bells were simply stolen.
The plan is to revive the carillon, i.e. to collect all 42 bells, including the three that currently decorate the city's public squares and two that have been loaned to other municipalities. It is to be installed in the museum in the former gas factory. There are people who know how to give these bells a new life...
