In 1878, the new church was extended westward, and the west tower was also built at that time. The church was severely damaged during the First World War and repaired in 1920. The tower was also blown up during the Second World War. A new, lower tower was built between 1948 and 1954.
Along the church's outer walls is a ambulatory dedicated to St. Job, with six chapels containing paintings.
