Beautiful ride, in the right period when there are no more masses of cyclists and tourists. Almost absolute silence. All the shelters and houses closed. Day with an intense blue sky, autumnal colors of nature. Started from Tirano and then along the cycle path (a fox crossed my road) to Grosio, from here immediately uphill 12% to then alternate less challenging sections with others between 10 and 19%. Every km a signpost with the average and maximum difference in altitude of the next km. Every 500m a signpost with the distance. Then also sparser signs with the altimetry. In the last km the signs show the remaining bends. Very pleasant route with woods on the right and left for many stretches. View of the valley. In the sun it was hot but for the rest, being very shaded you could feel the air very fresh. At the Pass, a gust of wind made the cold feel more but still bearable. In short, a tough climb for someone like me who doesn't have legs, but very satisfying.
