Hedgehope Hill is not as rounded as its parent peak, the Cheviot. This means that it arguably gives a better panorama than its higher neighbour, which is seen beautifully across Harthorpe Valley. As the second highest peak in Northumberland, it's certainly worth exploring. Rugged border country at its best.

At 2,343 feet (714 m) high, Hedgehope Hill affords picture-perfect panoramic views over the landscape. On a fine day, you can see as far as Blyth from the summit, which is 40 miles (60 km) away.
