The Széchenyi Castle in Gencsapát is a listed monument and is located in the village of Gyöngyösapáti. The castle park, which is a nature reserve, once housed the oldest and most valuable trees, but today the entire area is in a very dilapidated and neglected state. It is closed and cannot be visited.
The current foundations were built in the second half of the 16th century by the Chemethey family from Csömöte and Nemesládony in the form of a fortified noble residence, which is also mentioned in sources from 1610.
