From the Suleiman Lookout there is a great panorama of the city of Kőszeg and the mountains!
From the city center, this is the most easily accessible lookout point (comfortable 15-20 minute walk).According to local legend, during the Turkish campaign, Sultan Suleiman I watched the siege of Kőszeg Castle from this hill (now called the Sultan's Roof), trusting in its rapid success. However, Captain Miklós Jurisics with his relatively small number of defenders repulsed the army marching against Vienna, besieging Kőszeg for several weeks.The lookout was built in 2012 to commemorate the Turkish battle of 1532.
The top of the building was originally covered with a tarpaulin reminiscent of an unfolded Turkish tent, which made this lookout especially spectacular:
