Grenzacher Roter is known beyond the town's borders. The sun-drenched red wine "Grenzacher Hornfelsen" grows every year on Germany's most south-western vineyard. The location in the south-west, the special soil and the breeze from the Burgundian Gate combined with the many hours of sunshine - all the best conditions for a very good red wine.
The Hornfelsen vineyard and other private winegrowers continue the Markgräfler tradition and maintain Grenzach-Wyhlen as a wine-growing town.

Hiking

After a short climb along the vineyards or through the forest, you will have a wonderful view over the Rhine plain to the south. Just like in a miniature wonderland, you can watch the ships on the Rhine and the lock on the Birsfelden power station island or simply let your gaze wander over the wide landscape. Relax on the sky loungers and leave everyday life behind you.
