Road Cycling Highlight

People have been stopping to marvel at this view since the col’s famous switchbacks were constructed in the early 20th century. Take your time up the ascent and you will admire the olive groves, and maybe spy the remnants of the old Route Royale, the salt road that linked Nice and the coast to Piedmont and the Dukes of Savoy in Turin.
Col de Braus is part of our Montagnes à la Carte series, head over to bit.ly/2UvpAmH and claim your badge if you rode this classic.

A pass that dominates Nice, ideal for reaching the highest roads in the region, at the top two choices are available to you, direction Sospel for a pretty shaded and mountain-like descent (we leave the maritime landscapes to enter a more mountainous universe ) or take the L'Ablè pass and continue with the Turini pass.
For the greediest or just to quench a craving, the restaurant at the top of the pass "Chez Toinou" offers you a bucolic stopover.
Finally, an accessible pass with a nice drop and a breathtaking sea view.
