If you want to continue your education on the way to Wirtsberg, you should definitely stop here.

    The museum

In more than 40 years of dedicated work, one of the most interesting and beautiful museums of the region was built in the southernmost tip of the Vogtland.
Thanks to the collecting passion of Landwüster farmer Walter Wunderlich, the facility was already opened in 1968 as Bauernmuseum Landwüst and attained notoriety beyond the borders of Saxony after a short time.
Already at the beginning of the seventies, the farming museum Landwüst was extended to the open-air museum. Suitable buildings from the region have been secured, documented and partly acquired since then.
In the museum section Landwüst to the existing buildings until 1992, a total of six other corresponding buildings were implemented. The last conversion took place in the form of an old barn, which is now used after conversion as kultur.tenne.
More than 12,000 tools give an interesting and informative insight into the way of life and work of the Vogtland rural population from the beginning of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century.
Originally furnished - some of them still functional - workshops of the Dorfer's typical craft tell of the vitally necessary sideline of the farmers.
Cultivated fields, blooming gardens and some animals of old races complete the picture of the former structure of Vogtland villages.
