The restaurant and Cafe Forsthaus Kalkhütte is picturesquely situated at the top of the slope on the eastern shore of the Great Ratzeburg Lake. From the sheltered terrace you have fantastic views of the lake. Currently the Forsthaus was unfortunately still closed because a tenant is wanted.

This vantage point with a comfortable bench is located above the Kalkhütte by the parking lot. If you have driven up the steep path from the Kalkhütte, you can relax on the bench and enjoy the fantastic view of the lake before continuing.
