History: The church, built in 1575 with the tower dating from 1526, is located in the south-western part of Aarberg's old town, whose market square is one of the most impressive squares in Switzerland. From the forecourt behind the church, you have a beautiful view of the renaturalized "Alte Aare" and the over 400-year-old wooden bridge. Inside, the church is a flat-roofed hall with a recessed polygonal choir.

In 1892, the original stained glass windows were brought to the historical museum. The current pointed arch windows were supplied by the J. Kuhn stained glass workshop in Basel.
The tower was renovated in 2007. A historical document from 1936 was found in the top of the tower. It was recorded that 1 kg of bread cost 38 cents and 1 liter of milk cost 29 cents. The four bells bear the inscriptions Faith, Hope, Harmony and Peace.
