The 'Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge', also known as the '59th Street Bridge', is a cantilever truss bridge over the 'East River'. The bridge connects Manhattan and Queens and crosses 'Roosevelt Island'.

    Hiking

From the pedestrian side of the bridge, you have a great view of Manhattan despite the chain-link fence.
Car traffic on the bridge is very loud.
It takes about 70 minutes to walk there and back along the footpath (towards Queens/Long Island and back to Manhattan).
There are a lot of joggers.
You shouldn't walk on the bicycle side. E-bikes and pedelecs sometimes speed past you there at very high speeds.
