The classification as a "passport" for the Heidburg is already a bit high - although, of course, purely geographically correct. The height difference to be overcome, however, with only just 250-300 vertical meters only slightly impressive, especially since the slope from both directions remains very moderate. Nevertheless, the transition from the Elz to the Kinzigtal is quite nice to drive, at least if you have a rather low-traffic time, for example. chooses early Sunday morning. Otherwise, the traffic load is unfortunately quite strong, but the road is currently (01/2019) well asphalted.
