December 31 at At 12.00, on the initiative of the Partnership for Sobieszewska Island, a time capsule was buried on the occasion of the ending jubilee of the 125th anniversary of Sobieszewska Island. The capsule with a commemorative plaque is located next to the Stone in memory of the builders of Przekop Wisły in Świbno. The time capsule contains souvenirs and information about current activities, events and the state of Sobieszewska Island: a chronicle of recent events including social activities, important cultural events, ZHP Gdańsk Rally 2018, description of the activities of the Partnership for the Development of Sobieszewska Island, current demographic data, selected in civic budgets, projects and investments of the last 5 years on Sobieszewska Island, as well as: Waldemar Nocny's book "Island of Memories", the calendar "Island on old postcards", ornithological rings, scout scarf, tourist maps of Sobieszewska Island.
The time capsule is scheduled to be unearthed in 2045, i.e. in the year of the 150th anniversary of the creation of Sobieszewska Island.
