This house "near the tower" owes its name to its proximity to the former municipal belfry. It is considered the oldest house in Huy.

This mansion, built in 1535, owes its name to the city's last governor, Isaac de Cronström, who resided here for around ten years at the beginning of the 18th century. The entrance wing, which was built in the 16th century and rebuilt in the 18th century, has a gate that leads to the inner courtyard and the outbuildings, which were built in the 18th century.

Between the gate and its frame, you will discover an inscription in Gothic script with the date 'l'an mil cinq cent trente cinq le 25e jour de janvier' (25 January 1535).
On either side of the main entrance gate are two plinths of excellent
workmanship representing human busts.
This building now houses the municipal services.
Classified as a monument in 1933.
