The Ray Atkeson Memorial Trail is a 2.5 mile loop through lodgepole pines, lava rock formations, and meadows with views of Sparks lake and South Sister and Broken Top. This relatively open trail is paved ADA-accessible for the first .5 miles before turning into a well-marked regular dirt trail through the forest and past lava rocks. There are two options for you to make a shorter or longer hiking loop.
