Idyllic spot by the rabbit.
The bike path here is easy to navigate.

The name “Hare/Raid Rabbit” is a blast - at least if you think of it figuratively and not of the river so named with its overflow. So I made my way here and was completely surprised by what I found. I was expecting a few stones in the water to ensure more oxygen entry into the hare - but then I discovered a large-scale, landscape-defining structural measure to protect the city center of Quakenbrück from flooding, but also new natural areas for them To create wildlife. The history of this complex, which can be traced back to the 13th century, is explained on a sign. In recent years a lot of earth has been moved in order to adapt the raid to the requirements, including those that nature demands.
So at Hase Überfall (more correct would be Hase - Sohlgleite) you will find, for example, an island with kingfisher nesting holes, a fish ladder for fish species swimming upstream and a bridge that spans it all and offers the best views. All thumbs up - this is a real highlight, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a day and something new to discover every day. Highly recommended! It's great that I was able to make this discovery thanks to the Komoot community!
It is instructive to read the attached Wikipedia article, because it makes it clear that instead of the "overlap" transverse structure that once existed, a "sole slide" has now been created.

Update 2022- This highlight casts a symptomatic picture of the negligent handling of highlights by the makers of Komoot. First and foremost, it is NOT an "idyllic spot on the Hase", but rather a traditional flood protection system - and still a great experience. The title is at least misleading - in my opinion it is wrong. The title of this highlight was once "Hare/Raid Rabbit" - and that was a succinct title that described a specific place. There are certainly enough "idyllic places" on the Hase, but this place, which is extremely interesting in terms of hydraulic engineering and ecology, doesn't have to be given a careless name. Too bad, Komoot.

You drive on good paths right on the river arm under old trees and think all the time: Is there such a thing? That there is still something beautiful ?!
There is - but it is seldom as beautiful as it is on this section. Worth it !!
