The St. Pankratius Church points the way to the largest municipality in terms of area on the Eiderstedt peninsula, located in the south of the Husum Bay holiday region. The impressive village church, which was built in the 13th century, is located in the center of Oldenswort on a beautiful square. Because of its size, it is also called the "peasant cathedral".
Inside there is a painting winged altar from the 16th century and one of the probably oldest baptismal covers in Schleswig-Holstein.

The brick-built Oldenswort church of St. Pankratius dates back to a Romanesque building that was probably built in the 12th century. It has a wooden coffered ceiling. The furnishings mostly date from the 16th century.
To the right of it, below the churchyard, stands the "Wilhelmseiche", planted in 1897 to commemorate the 100th birthday of Emperor Wilhelm I.
The church has been closed since 2017 due to dilapidation. Renovation began in 2022.
