The she-devil is sitting on a stone in front of the "Red Haubarg". There is an old legend about the Haubarg and the she-devil.
A poor farmer's hut is said to have stood here in the past, the farmer of which fell in love with the daughter of a rich blacksmith. Since the blacksmith didn't want to promise his daughter to the poor farmer, he made a pact with the devil. The devil was supposed to build him a stately house with 100 windows before the cock crowed. In return, the devil would get the farmer's soul. The devil built the Haubarg in no time at all. Fearing for his soul, the farmer fled to his beloved and her mother. The mother grabbed the rooster and shook it until it crowed. She saved the farmer's soul just in time, since the devil was just using the 99th window at that point.
