In 1763, the Franciscan brother Leonhard, Geotg NiederstraĂźen, settled as a hermit in his self-built house near the Franciscan monastery.
In 1764, Pastor Johannes Schuld from Obertiefenbach built the chapel.
It belongs to the parish of St. Johannes Nepumuk Hadamar.
