Old gallery portal of the Christianstollen. The Christian tunnels were used to transport ores from other mines. The ores were sorted nearby and transported via a private track to Christianshütte station. In 1931 the mining of ore over the Christian tunnel was discontinued.
The water that comes out of it is very ferrous "drinking water" (at your own risk ;-)).

Access to the former tunnel is on the edge of a large, shady square in the middle of the forest. A unique, almost fairytale place

There are quite a few of them in the region. Iron ore was mined in the Christianstollen around 1780 to 1931.
