A fresh breeze often blows here. But looking out over the wide meadows and reed beds... A sailor often passes by. Fruit trees line the dyke on the land side almost the entire way along the towpath. The ash surface is wonderful to sail on. People used to pull ships here on ropes when there was no wind between Greifswald and Bodden. This is called towing.
