The S. Caterina d'Auronzo dam, built in 1930-31, blocks the Ansiei valley at S. Caterina, near Auronzo. The dam is a beautiful structure that is very well maintained to exploit its tourist value. A sign of this are the two lions of San Marco, sculpted in white stone, which are located at the entrance to the crowning.
