A good 140 km from Usakos to Henties Bay. Only the first 23 km are asphalted, after that it's on the dirt road. No vegetation, no shade. The dirt road is sometimes very easy to ride - a tailwind and a slight gradient help. Now and then it suddenly turns into a gravel track. Pushing is also sometimes necessary. So: set off very early and take an extra bottle of water with you. A car passes by 1 to 2 times an hour.
