Somewhat hidden lies this windmill. I almost drove past it. Under the railway line through and actually I wanted to drive on the right side of the Bille. On the day of the open monument was a lot going on so that I became attentive.

The beautiful Galerieholländer was built in 1831 and was originally used to grind tan (oak bark) before it was converted into a grain mill. Thanks to the museum association, many things have been restored here and provide insights into the miller's trade. A renovated storage room can be used for art exhibitions and events.

The Bergedorf Mill bears the cheerful name "Glück Zu". The one-storey gallery mill is a historic event location and technical monument. Thanks to the renewed wing cross, it is now wind-capable again, and it also houses a rare diesel engine. Thanks to the work of the Bergedorf Mill Association and the support of the Hamburg Monument Protection Office and numerous donors, the old mill was completely restored. The gem was inaugurated in the summer of 2008 as an event location and learning object, for example for school classes. Since then, exhibitions, markets and music events have taken place in the old Bergedorf Mill. Guided tours show the diesel engine with the grinder in operation. Visitors see how grain is ground and oats are crushed and experience first hand the history of a mill through the ages.hamburg.de/sehenswuerdigkeiten/3422910/bergedorfer-muehle
