At the center of the historical Lhasa, Barkhor Street runs a circle around Jokhang Temple. It is lined with a variety of shops and stores, and has got streets and alleys branching off in all directions.

You can also see pilgrims circling the temple in prayer.

Entrance to the Jokhang Temple is on the west side.
