Students from the weTech Academy cut out the silhouette of Marie-Thérèse De Decker, mother of Alfons Janssens, the builder of the house of the same name, in corten steel. The statue was unveiled by Erfgoedcel Waasland, together with VRT weatherwoman Jacotte Brokken, on International Women's Day (8 March) 2024.
