The inland canal is an artificially constructed, almost five-kilometer-long river in the Swiss canton of Aargau and the last in a large series of tributaries of the Aare. The canal serves as a drainage and collecting canal east of the Klingnau reservoir in the communities of Döttingen and Klingnau, as well as for flood relief. It reaches the Aare in the Giriz nature reserve near Koblenz, shortly before the Aare flows into the Rhine after a 292-kilometer course.

Like the inland canal near Klingnau, there is also a drainage canal on the western side of the reservoir with the water body name "Inland Canal": The Gippingen inland canal flows into an old arm of the Aare from the left about one kilometer above the Klingnau canal.
