Many years ago (when I was still young and fit 🤣) all traffic from Überetsch to Bolzano drove straight through the village of Frangart, which is still part of the municipality of Eppan.
Unimaginable today: A bypass leads to the regional capital via the MeBo expressway... and is still regularly congested at rush hour.
The village of Frangart, on the other hand, seems tranquil. It's been ages since I was here. I see a nice school and kindergarten, the fairground is currently being prepared and the church watches over it stoically because it knows that all earthly hustle and bustle will pass at some point.
So: if you're in the area by bike and curious, take a little detour and take a look. A bar to quench your thirst is also open... 🍹🍻🥂
