Construction lasted from April to November 1933. On November 5 of that year, Archbishop Antoni Szlagowski consecrated the new church. In 1934, Professor Zygmunt Hellwig, a well-known garden designer, prepared a greening project, which was later implemented together with local experts — Ewelina Krzyżewska, Władysław Milewski and Kujath. The pergolas, the roof over the pergola and the walls were not made until 1943 from stone brought in 1939 (just before the outbreak of the war).

In the post-war period, there was no question of further development of the church garden or expansion of the church itself, despite the fact that numerous petitions were sent to the authorities on this matter. It was not until 1964 that Father Dr. Franciszek Bartański received approval of the project and permission to expand the then existing so-called "Chancellery", standing by the church.
