The Protestant church in Plöwen was built in the middle of the 13th century from field stones in a rectangular format by Cistercian monks. The stones from the Romanesque period, which were used to build the east choir castle and the south portal, are striking. After a fire at the end of the 18th century, the square brick brick west tower was added to the church.
