Once upon a time, the Obermühle in Heuchelheim was known even in the Netherlands and Belgium. That is where the processed hemp was delivered. Over the centuries, the Obermühle was always more than just a grain mill.
Embedded in the romantic Kaiserbachtal valley and barely noticeable from the road, the Obermühle is located on the western edge of the formerly independent municipality of Heuchelheim. Already halfway between Göcklingen and Heuchelheim is the weir, through which the flow rate of the water for the mill operation was regulated. Today, the property is used only as a residential building.
