Saint Martin's Basilica is a Gothic church in the Flemish Brabant town of Halle, dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours, where numerous works of art from the period of construction are still present in situ. It is a place of pilgrimage and was elevated to a basilica by Pope Pius XII in 1946. Since then, the church has also been called Onze-Lieve-Vrouwebasilica[1]. The Royal Decree of 30 December 1933 made it a protected monument.
The basilica dominates the cityscape of Halle; its tower is among the thirty tallest in the country.
