Helvick Harbour is a small, traditional fishing harbour on the southern edge of Dungarvan Bay. The pier was built between 1912 and 1915 and forms the maritime heart of the Ring Peninsula, an area with a strong Gaeltacht identity and centuries-old fishing traditions. From the quay, you look out over the wide bay, with the cliffs of Helvick Head as a backdrop. An atmospheric, authentic stopping place where the history of the coast is still tangible.
