In the center of the town is the church dedicated to Sant'Ottilia. The first news of the church dates back to 1177. The Saint, to whom the church is dedicated, is remembered in a legend, where she was repudiated by her father because she was born blind, then regained her faith at baptism.

Cycling

The parish church of St. Ottilia in Lengstein am Ritten was first mentioned in 1177. Its present form was largely created in the Gothic style, with the tower and presbytery dating from the 15th century. In the Middle Ages, the church was an important pilgrimage church. According to legend, Saint Ottilia was born blind and miraculously regained her sight at her baptism. Therefore, she is considered the patron saint of eyes and sight. Today, the historic church and the adjacent cemetery shape the village's appearance in Lengstein.
