The Wieselburger Marktschloss was built in the 13th century. Its late baroque appearance in the Josephine slab style goes back to a renovation at the beginning of the 19th century.

Today the market castle is owned by the municipality of Wieswelburg and is a multifunctional building and a popular meeting place. In addition to apartments, it also houses the Museum of Prehistory and Early History, the chapel of the Evangelical Congregation and a café with a bakery, ice cream shop and an organic shop.
