The Martinshardt lies east-southeast of the Kindelsberg in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia. Martinshardt, Kindelsberg (618 m) and Hoher Wald (655 m) form the Müsener Horst mountain range, which is visible from afar as the western foothills of the Rothaar Mountains.[4] The Martinshardt is surrounded by the villages of Müsen (northeast), Dahlbruch and Kredenbach (south), and Ferndorf (west); it dominates the western Ferndorf valley with the federal highway 508.
