Jimbolia (German Hatzfeld, Hungarian Zsombolya) is a town in the Romanian Banat, in the Timiş County, 40 km west of Timişoara. 1333, the place was first mentioned under the name Chumbul. During the German colonization of the Banat, the village was named Hatzfeld in 1766.
