Similar to the Edlhof plain near Erlau, this inconspicuous chapel commemorates the freedom struggle of Passau citizens in the 14th century (see also: niederbayern-wiki.de/wiki/Schlacht_bei_Erlau ) and their futile attempt to make Passau a free imperial city.

Hiking

The chapel was built in its current form around 1860 by the "Marl". Before that, a wooden building stood in its place. The Bleiche owner Eglauer showed great interest in the chapel and also acquired the statue of the Virgin Mary. Renovations took place in the 1960s, in 1988 and in 2013.
In 1981, the chapel in Zwölfling was added to the list of monuments of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation.
